Barela Trading is a Panama-based trading house working in the international brokerage and physical trading of metals. We connect producers, refiners and end buyers, and we stay with the transaction until the material and the money have both moved.
Barela Trading operates from the Republic of Panama, licensed for the trading and commercialization of goods and services, covering the buying, selling, import, export, distribution and brokerage of commodities for international markets.
Our focus is narrow by design: metals, from precious through to industrial. We act as broker and agent between producers and buyers today, with the structure in place to trade on our own account as counterparty relationships mature.
Panama gives us a natural base for the work. Two oceans, the Canal, a dollarized economy and one of the most connected logistics hubs in the Americas, all within reach of Latin American origin and global demand.

Purchase and resale of metal on our own account, building from back to back transactions toward held positions as volumes and relationships grow.
Coordination of the moving parts around a physical trade: inspection and assay, documentation, Incoterms, shipping from Panama's Atlantic and Pacific ports, and settlement.
Specifications, assay requirements and quantities are handled case by case. Enquiries are welcome for metals not listed here.
We qualify counterparties and material at origin, checking provenance, specification and the capacity to actually deliver, before anything reaches a buyer's desk.
